Static elimination of a lithium ion battery separator

When a separator for lithium ion batteries is unwound, a large electrostatic charge may be caused by sheet separation or the friction between transfer rolls, resulting in adhesion of foreign materials. Foreign materials on the separator surface degrade battery performance, including causing overheating of batteries in worst case scenarios. The static eliminator prevents the adhesion of foreign materials.
