The following 2 points are presented as solutions for electrostatic breakdown.

Prevent Discharge to the Device

In general, the further the distance, the less likely it is for discharge to occur. Due to this, discharge can be prevented by increasing the distance from charged objects. By maintaining as much distance as possible between the device and the discharge target (Human body or conducting body), discharge to the device can be prevented.

Lower the Level of Static Electricity

As a method to prevent electrostatic breakdown it is important to limit the amount of surrounding static electricity or appropriately neutralize static charge.
For human body charges (HBM)*, using a wrist strap or wearing anti-static clothing can prevent discharge.
For equipment charges (MM)*, discharge can be prevented through grounding.
For device charges (CDM)*, using grounding alone as a solution will not prevent static electricity.
Due to this, it's necessary to use a static removal device.
By applying the emitted ions from a static removal device to a charged device, static electricity is neutralized and the charge is eliminated.

Although static electricity elimination may appear difficult at first, effective solutions are easily achieved once a basic understanding of static electricity has been reached.
