The SK uses the V.S.S. method, whereby a voltage is varied in stages as it is applied to a surface potential sensor, and the point at which the potential difference between the target object and the sensor becomes 0 is calculated. The use of this new measurement principle makes the sensor immune to the effects of variations in measurement distance and allows it to provide high-precision measurement. |

| The SK is equipped with tolerance judgment output (HI/GO/LO) for upper and lower limits. Up to 7 sets of tolerance and measurement mode settings can be registered, allowing the settings to be changed just by calling up the corresponding program. |

Analog output allows process management. |
| The SK can output an analog voltage that corresponds to the measured value and with a connection to a recorder can monitor variations over time. |
