Detection of Flat Wafer Orientation

The FU-12 area detection fibre unit and the FS-V fibre optic sensor determine wafer position by detecting flat wafer orientation. Detection is based on the difference between the light quantity interrupted by a flat wafer orientation and another wafers orientation.

Detecting Presence/absence of Chips on Embossed Tape

During the mounting process of chip resistors to embossed tape, the FS-V20 Series detects whether a chip is missing. The fibre unit is positioned so that the embossed portion passes through the beam area.
