Detection of Flat Wafer Orientation

The FU-12 area detection fibre unit and the FS-V fibre optic sensor determine wafer position by detecting flat wafer orientation. Detection is based on the difference between the light quantity interrupted by a flat wafer orientation and another wafers orientation.

Counting Connector Pins

Defective products are detected by counting the number of connector pins. When pin thickness varies, the FS-V20's automatic calibration function enables sensitivity to be changed without stopping the line

Detection of Moulded IC Passage

The FS-V20 Series detects moulded ICs on a production line. Unlike conventional photoelectric sensors, the FU-12 fibre unit enables wide-area detection. As a result, optical alignment is easy and detection is stable.

Detecting Presence/absence of Chips on Embossed Tape

During the mounting process of chip resistors to embossed tape, the FS-V20 Series detects whether a chip is missing. The fibre unit is positioned so that the embossed portion passes through the beam area.

Differentiation Between Front and Rear Faces of Bakelite Plate for Capacities

During Bakelite plate assembly, the FS-V20 differentiates between front and rear faces based on subtle colour differences.

Detecting Presence/absence of Soldering Tape

The FS-V20's detects the presence/absence of soldering tape. The tape is very thin and shifts easily, making detection difficult. The FU-12 area detection fibre unit is easy to setup and detection is not affected by target movement.
