Ultra-high speed CPU unit

[1] Hyper access window
The KV-1000 has a "CPU monitor function" that can monitor and change information and devices in the CPU unit without a PC or program console. In addition, it also has a "unit monitor function" that can confirm the operating states of the connected expansion units and the contents of errors. This function is especially effective for adjustments and troubleshooting during startup.

Card slot that supports SD memory cards
[2] Card slot that supports SD memory cards (industry’s first support)
The KV-1000 is supporting the card slot for SD memory cards for the first time in the industry. The KV-1000 is equipped with more convenient functions such as the logging function that operates on highspeed, large-capacity simple programs and the program/data transfer function used between the CPU unit and memory card.

The KV-1000 comes equipped with an up-to-date function that enables high-speed data transfer to a PC as standard (equipment). This has realized the "ultrahigh-speed timing chart monitor" and "high-speed program transfer".

Large-capacity 160 k steps

The KV-1000 has adopted SDRAM (used on PCs as standard main memory) for the first time in the industry as ladder program storage memory. It realizes 160 k-step large program capacity as standard. You no longer need to write a program, caring about program capacity.

The KV-1000 comes equipped with 24 high-speed I/Os (16 inputs/8 outputs) as standard. This has realized an interrupt response time of 30 µs, quick support of input changes, and high-speed control. In addition, the I/O monitor displays the ON/OFF states of the built-in I/Os and the expanded I/O unit selected by the Direct Access switch.

Built-in CPU functions

2 axes for independent positioning (100 kHz)
Dedicated positioning instructions provide extremely simple ladder programming. This enables high-precision motor control without any positioning unit.
High-speed counter (100 kHz/single-phase, 50 kHz/phasedifferential, 2 channels)
The high-speed counter supports the differential line signal and open collector signal.
High-speed interrupt input (10 points)
This function provides ultrahigh-speed interrupt processing with a 30-µs I/O response speed.
Cam switch function (0.1-degree increments, 32-point output)
The cam switch function supports the incremental encoder, absolute encoder, gray encoder, and zero teaching.
Logging function
Simple setting enables a variety of device information to be recorded on the SD memory card.
Device value replacement function
This function enables you to read and write device values in the SD memory card and CPU unit by using dedicated memory card instructions.
Other functions (common to the KV-700)
• The I/O units and special units of the KV-700 can be used as they are. (Except for the KV-L20)
• High-speed bus
• Maximum number of I/Os (3,096 points). (For the KV-700, the maximum number of I/Os is 3,086 points.)

Using the memory card (SD/MMC) inserted into the CPU unit provides easy data collection. Using Ethernet* enables you to easily browse the data collected by FTP client software with which you are familiar, without reference to PROG/RUN.
* Using Ethernet requires the KV-LE20A.

Motor control function

Only a 35 µs startup time
Incorporating the 2-channel motor control function into the CPU unit has achieved ultrahigh-speed operation. Using the 2-channel motor control function reduces the tact time of the device and improves productivity.

The motor control function can be used for both "positioning control" and "speed control". The CPU unit incorporates two channels.

High-speed counter function

• Supports the input of the maximum 100-kHz (50-kHz phase differential) deviation line driver input
• Supports the input of the maximum 60-kHz (30-kHz phase differential) open collector input
• Supports the phase differential input, double multiplication input, and quadruple multiplication input
• The high-speed counter is equipped with a 32-bit high-speed counter comparator.
• Starts the interrupt ladder via comparator matching
• Supports the direct input of encoder outputs from the servomotor driver

• Can process ultrahigh-speed interrupts of 30-µs I/O response speed.
• Catches the minimum 10-µs width input.
• Can output the captured input signals directly without delay by scan time.
• Can achieve cost reduction because the external interrupt module is not required.
